So, we just survived 100 days of Trump. Fun. But despite the scare, not much has really passed. Immigration? Nope. Wall? Well, Mexico doesn’t seem to be paying anything. NAFTA? Nah, let’s keep it. Apparently, being President is actually harder than slapping your name on everything you see. Shocker.

So, yeah. That’s our first 100 days. Not much has passed, and Trump is falling flat on his face when it comes to his promises, which, in fact, we should be thankful for. From protests to satire, Trump’s ideas have been blocked every day out. So, what’s next?

Well, now that Trump is finally realizing the importance of being a president, we might actually be able look forward to-get this. A decent president.

Hilarious. But just hear me out.

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know that Trump doesn’t necessarily know what he’s doing, so this can really go only 2 ways.

A) Trump continuously proposes wild bills for a majority of his presidency. Very little make it out. Possible ones include the border wall, healthcare, and tax reform. Renegotiating NAFTA/Immigration ban will have to be deducted massively in terms of radicalism to pass through our fairly moderate Congress. The chance of passing will decrease massively if the Dems take over Congress in 2018. If that happens, we can expect little to nothing new with Trump.

B) Trump gives out and resorts back to more moderate American views and maintains a more moderate presidency, while passing numerous bills/orders that mirror that of other republican bills/orders. Now that he has realized the presidential difficulty, he may realize that it’s time to back up and do what he can to slow down his sinking approval rating.

I’d go with option B, mostly because, as a President and a businessman, Trump will soon need to legitimately backup to save his already critically damaged reputation. Eventually, he will need to realize that, or he’s gonna get a ton of bullying from the news, comedians, and American people alike. You know- the biggest influential factors in a election. If he wants to get a shot to get re-elected like almost every other politician, he’s going to have to cut the circus act and get to work.

This would be a great thing- a more moderate president could mean that we don’t take too many risks with our bills. America did just fine with Obama, and a few changes here and there wouldn’t make it terribly worse, besides the fact that we’re being run by a circus full of executives who don’t really have that much more experience than Trump, some even a part of his family, and some of which have ties with Russia. Oh, and maybe it doesn’t help that our president has the twitter account that resembles that of a poorly educated 6th grader who’s got issues.

But hey, if we’ve got a decent Congress that can block most of the idiocracy from bleeding the red-white-and orange through the dark, vulnerable, and depressed edges that is America, we should be fine.

Let’s just not ef up the midterms this time, shall we?
