I find it to be extremely comedic that the NRA’s defence for gun violence is to add more guns to the crowd. I mean, come on. This is just ridiculous. Maybe, if they spent more time looking outside instead of defending their trigger-happy hands, they would realize that. But, of course, they don’t want to listen. They just want to fill their desire to have the ability to shoot somebody (or something) without the government involving themselves in their-err…triggered solutions to problems.
But the government really needs to find a better way of making this satisfaction more equal. The NRA wants to have the satisfaction of waking up without the fear of having their guns taken away, and I want to wake up to the sound that isn’t my phone beeping major news of a shooting every two days.
And I don’t think that “good guys with guns” will help dial that back anytime soon. I mean, come on, the NRA has been saying this for years, because they have no legitimate excuse for what they’ve done- supported the ability for us crazies to freely bear lethal weapons. If good guys with guns were able to stop these shootings, our crime by gun rate should be, you know, small enough to NOT be an embarrassment when compared to every other country that DOES perform strong gun control.
NRA- it’s time to accept it. Your guns need to go. They’ve had their time. You are literally supporting the usage of lethal, concealable weapons that any crazy man can get, run into a school, and kill a bunch of people because of his/her own problems. This has gone far too long and you need to accept it- you are not the cause of safety or hope. You are the cause of providing easy destruction, easy access to kill oneself, and terrible excuses so you can feel more powerful and badass.
News flash. You’re not.
Your campaign for gun support has allowed families to go through serious grief and pain. Your campaign has allowed innocent people to shed tears on their hospital bed. Your campaign has allowed for crazies to enter schools and shoot out innocent children. Your campaign allows us as a nation to shoot ourselves mercilessly. For what? So you can feel good?
So, like I said. Not Badass.
We’re not your parents, and you are not kids. So grow up, and stop acting like one. Learn that sometimes, your toys have to go for the better sake of the country.
