You need to read this one. Regardless of your intrest of politics, regardless of your ideologies, and regardless of any grudges you have against your political rivals- you need to read this one.

This weekend, two major events in politics occurred- The Nuclear Option was enacted in the senate, and Trump launched a military strike against Syria in response to it's devastating chemical attack to it's own people. IF you're not a particularly political person, let me sum it up- this is not good- regardless of your political ideology.

Us liberals and conservatives have been going at it for the past year like animals- desperately trying to grapple in a hook-n-sinker to our opponents. K.O them for the count. Knock them out of the count. But know, it's time to leave this sea of seven spades and look at what's happening: Our government is making decisions for itself, regardless of anyone else. Need the proof? Look down below.

This week, the U.S Senate performed what is called a "Nuclear Option", in which a 51% majority is all that is needed instead of 60%, in this case to end a filibuster, where the opposition can significantly delay a certain government action by debating for as long as possible. Most recently, a well-executed action of this was done by the Republicans, expectantly to float the swearing in of President Obama's SC nominee, Merrick Garland.

By preventing the opposition from influencing the executive actions of the government, the House of Senate has activated a possibly never-ending loophole that will give ultimate victory to whatever party is dominating the Senate at the time. With this loophole, there is almost nothing the opposing party can do to influence an executive action produced/approved by the House of Senate. Now a winner-take-all system exists beyond just the electoral college. Which means that the winning party has a tremendous amount of power vs. the opposition. Which means listening to what could go wrong could be a thing of the past, not to mention that the opposition, Liberal or Conservative, no matter the populous majority (in this case, Liberal), has no say.

What happened to representing the people, House of Senate?

There's more- check out part II.
